Newcastle has some great venues for comedy in Newcastle with something for everyone.

Newcastle Theatre Royal and the Tyne Theatre and Opera House have been the venue for many comedy acts over the years and still continue to bring top names from the world of comedy.  Newcastle City Hall also hosts many popular stand up and comedy acts.

The Customs House in South Shields regularly has an array comedians come to its stage. Jason Cook hosts his comedy club, which brings huge TV names, daft guests and incredible surprises to the region.  They also have the South Tyneside Comedy festival each year, playing  host to a plethora of top stand up talent to South Shields each summer.

The Playhouse Whitley Bay brings comedy to the north east coast with some amazing acts treading the boards, as well as its popular pantomime season.
