The Gateshead Beer & Music Festival and Gateshead Gin Festival team are delighted to announce the first ever Gateshead Summer Fest.
With great live music and summer drinks we’ve cherry-picked the best elements from previous festivals.
“The best local live bands will help us bring a Beach Party vibe to Low fell with our very own Rum & Gin Shack, The Prosecco Bar as well as a huge selection of Ciders and Lagers”
Our first Summer Fest Ciders can now be revealed; SeaCider
SeaCider was founded by Mark Francis who started out as a Brewer in Brighton, Sussex. Mark would constantly be touring Sussex delivering his beer to pubs and driving around the local countryside. He soon noticed an abundance of apple orchards that were not harvested and left unloved. He also noticed that many pubs did not stock local cider and there didn’t seem to be many cider-makers left in Sussex.
After devouring every book he could find on cider-making and gathering up as many local apples as he could, he tentatively started to make cider and began selling it to pubs alongside his beer. After a lot of trial and error, Mark soon became as dedicated to making cider as he did beer. Expect :- Bakewell Tart; Lemon meringue; Raspberry Ripple; Sticky Toffee Pudding; Gingerbread; Bourbon Barrel; Blueberry; Rhubarb
Coming to Summer Fest ‘19 is our brand new RetroBar! – Relive those halcyon days of the 90’s in Dobsons, The Ritzy, The Boat and many more places of yesteryear with a great selection of classic drinks, Cocktails and Alcopops!

Sunday will also feature our additional Family activities with the following acts appearing Tony Junior – Family magic show & game show; A fantastic magician coming along to do a family magic show followed by a game show which will involve a few of the adults.
Lee Kyle & Friends – Children’s Comedy show; Lee Kyle remembers what it was like being a kid, because he has never really stopped. Except now, he is bigger than all of the actual kids so they don’t bully him anymore because he could beat them in a fight if he had to, except for some of the girls if they are wearing pointy shoes… Look, I’m getting side-tracked, I absolutely must make it clear that there will be no fighting of kids in this show. What there will be, is stupidity. Loads of it. I mean, absolutely tonnes.”
Children’s Go- Karting with Go-Kart Party Tyne & Wear and Art and craft activities from the Creation Station will also be appearing on the Sunday only.
Adult tickets are priced @£10 with accompanied children free. Tickets are now available via www.gatesheadbeerfestival.co.uk and from the Dotty House (1-3 Dryden Rd, Gateshead NE9 5HP) and Gateshead RFC (Eastwood Gardens).
