This Halloween Metro Radio will be staging a brand new spooky woodland trail event, aptly named “The Walk of Fear”. Taking place on October 27th, this family friendly event will start and finish at the popular Derwent Walk Country Park in Gateshead.

The two mile evening woodland trail walk will see families encountering trained performers from Gateshead College who will be out to frighten them, dressed as witches, zombies, ghosts and clowns with many more spooky surprises planned.

The Walk of Fear also involves fancy dress prizes, a spooky stage and music entertainment, face painting and Halloween themed food and drink. Appropriate for all ages, this event will ensure a safe, fun, family Halloween night out.

Metro Radio’s Station Director, Dom Munnelly, commented;

“We’re excited to launch this new event, it’s guaranteed to be a thrilling night out, perfect for families to get dressed up and come along and enjoy themselves.”

Nadine Hudspeth, Director of Marketing and Communication said:

“We’re pleased to be partnering Metro Radio to deliver The Halloween Walk of Fear. To have our students involved in this incredible live project is an invaluable opportunity to develop their performance and work skills, as well as being great fun for everyone involved.”

The event also hopes to raise thousands of pounds for local charity Cash For Kids, supporting young disadvantaged kids in the North East, with a donation given on every ticket sold.

Tickets are available online, priced at £10 per adult, £5 for under 16’s and £25 for a family ticket.
