Strictly Come Dancing star announces date at The Customs House

Strictly Come Dancing fans are in for a treat as one of the newest professionals to join the team has announced a string of solo dates next summer.

And Neil Jones, who will be paired with a celebrity for the first time this year when the new series of the dancing competition kicks off on Saturday, September 7, is bringing his Gingerland show to The Customs House.

The dancer’s first solo tour comes on the back of his directorial and choreographic debut at Sadler’s Wells in Somnium: A Dancer’s Dream, in which he starred alongside fellow Strictly professional Katya Jones.

Gingerland promises to be a dance show like no other, featuring comedy and special effects as well as showcasing the talent that has led to several Ballroom and Latin titles, including three world championships and eight British championships.

Neil will also introduce you to the people who influenced him as a dancer. It just so happens that they were all ginger!

He said: “Prepare yourself – you are in for a night you will never want to forget.”

Neil has been part of the hit BBC show since 2016, dancing with Judy Murray and Anita Rani in the Christmas specials and regularly appearing on It Takes Two, sometimes as his alter-ego, Nell de Jaunse.

Gingerland comes to The Customs House on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at 7.30pm, with tickets priced from £28. VIP tickets, which include a meet and greet, signed print and the best seats in the house, are also available at £60.
