Jesmond Fine Dining Restaurant Awarded the Prestigious Good Food Award for 2020
Peace and Loaf, a Jesmond based high class restaurant owned by MasterChef: The Professionals finalist, Dave Coulson, has been awarded a prestigious Good Food Award for 2020 in this years’ list of roll of honour.
The restaurant was commended by the Good Food Awards on their exceptional levels of food quality, service and value, in comparison to their industry benchmarks is one of only a handful of venues in the region to be recognised.
The multi-award-winning restaurant focuses solely on seasonal and regional produce to ensure their flavours are unmatched and have consequently earned two AA Rosettes, a mention in the Michelin Guide and have been named as one of the top 50 restaurants in the UK by OpenTable.
Chef Patron David Coulson, well known for reaching the finals on MasterChef: The professionals and featuring on BBC Two’s Great British Menu, just last year, said:
“We are so thrilled to receive this award and it’s thanks to both our talented team and our amazing customers that we’ve been recognised. It’s an honour to have the reputation that we do, and we hope that our hard work continues to pay off as we grow”
The news comes just after Peace and Loaf underwent a whole refit and renovation of their restaurant last month, which has given the restaurant a luxurious, urban look, in-keeping with its roots as an ironworks forge. The ethos remains the same though, to provide fresh, seasonal produce from their North East suppliers, in a unique and creative twist on British classics.
The Good food Awards are voted for by their customers, fans of the establishments and the readers of the guides themselves.
