Bricks - Si Beckwith

Bricks – Si Beckwith

Bricks is a new stand-up show from comedian Si Beckwith. A show about becoming a new step-parent, about what family means and a tiny bit about Lego.

After the success of his debut solo show ‘Get Lush’, which was incredibly well received with shows at Alphabetti Theatre and The Stand, Newcastle, Si follows that up with a new show focussed on his experiences as a new step-parent.

The show has already played at Laurels Theatre in Whitley Bay and now comes to esteemed comedy club The Stand, in Newcastle. Strong storytelling, punchy gags and an engaging narrative see this show as one to watch!

Si is a regular at The Stand, hosting and doing sets across a number of their shows and a familiar face on their iconic stage. He brings his new show there on Sunday 23rd October. With the show focussed on Si’s new found role as a step-parent, the show is a thoughtfully personal and hilarious hour of stand-up that has Si wearing his hear on his sleeve as he talks about what parenting and family means to him.

The show draws on a wide range of influences, but is first and foremost a solid hour of stand- up comedy. Si’s sharp wit will be in full effect, with an energy to the show that should make for a great night out.

“Hard hitting at times, but delivered with silliness and in a deadpan manner, Beckwith’s set works because his stories are, mostly, relatable.” NARC Magazine
