Critically acclaimed drunken Shakespeare returns to Tyne Theatre and Opera House
Tyne Theatre and Opera House Saturday 24th October 2020
Following their successful touring production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream that visited Newcastle’s Tyne Theatre and Opera House in November 2019, Sh*t-Faced
Shakespeare return to the Tyne Theatre stage on Saturday 24th October 2020 withone of the Bard’s most well-loved plays; Romeo and Juliet.
Shit-faced Shakespeare is a smash-hit, internationally acclaimed, multi sell-out fringe phenomenon; hilariously combining an entirely serious adaptation of a
Shakespearean classic, with an entirely shit-faced cast member. One cast member is selected at random and given four hours to drink before every show… what couldpossibly go wrong?
With a gin in one hand, a cup of wine in the other and a flagon of ale in the other, this is not your typical Newcastle night out.
Shit-Faced Shakespeare seeks to introduce a new generation of theatre-goers to the works of the Bard by reviving the raucous, interactive and vibrant nature of Elizabethan theatre with a very modern twist – reminding them as we go to always enjoy Shakespeare responsibly.
Tickets are priced: £20.50 (Show content 16+)
