Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have been unveiled as the headline performer on Sunday 20th August at this year’s Hardwick Festival. The band will join a spectacular three-day line up which will also see The Kooks headline the Saturday alongside The Vaccines, Melanie C and Nieve Ella.

Not shy of delivering world-class performances, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will headline the Sunday night of the festival with a set list featuring a selection of the band’s most well-loved songs, from Oasis hits through to current day radio favourites.

The announcement follows the incredibly well received release of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds‘ brand-new single, ‘Pretty Boy’. Having received widespread national radio support, added to the A list across all key networks, including Radio 2’s Record Of The Week, the track signals the beginning of a new creative chapter and first new music from Noel’s forthcoming new studio album which will be released next year. Recorded at Noel’s own studio in London, Lone Star Sound, and co-produced with Paul ‘Strangeboy’ Stacey, the track also features long-time friend and collaborator Johnny Marr on guitar.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds first emerged in 2011. They’ve since released three studio albums, a collection of EPs and have played hundreds of live shows to fans across the world. June 2021 welcomed the release of ‘Back The Way We Came: Vol 1 (2011-2021)’ – a career-defining Best Of celebrating a decade of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ richly diverse body of work. The album marked the band’s 4th consecutive Number 1 album, and the 12th Number 1 album across Noel’s prolific career.

Summer 2022 saw Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds complete a nationwide tour of outdoor shows, culminating with an epic set on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage to one of the weekend’s biggest crowds.

Pop-rock band, The Kooks will headline the Saturday night at the festival. The group, who have been together for almost 20 years, have a huge following and a string of hits to their name. Saturday will also mark the return to the festival of former Spice Girl, Melanie C along with indie rock band, The Vaccines who will be performing their whole catalogue including ‘If You Wanna’ and ‘Wreckin’ Bar’. Social media sensation Nieve Ella – who scored with her first song, Girlfriend – will also be part of the Saturday line-up.

Due to unprecedented demand, organisers of the festival have now added an additional day to the festival. Friday 18th August will start with Hacienda Classical curated by Graeme Park, Mike Pickering and the Manchester Camerata Orchestra as well as the Craig Charles Funk and Soul Club. These are the first names of what will eventually be a 50 strong line-up of performances across the entire event.

Tickets are on sale now with several packages available including weekend passes, single day tickets, glamping and camping. All prices are available at www.hardwickfestival.co.uk

John Adamson, owner of Hardwick Hall, believes it’s a spectacular line-up.

“It’s a huge coup for us to bring Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds to Hardwick along with a really amazing range of performers across the entire three days,” he said.

“We believe this is going to be one of our strongest and most exciting Hardwick Festival’s to date.”
