ONE OF the UK’s most talked about up and coming artists will be joining a stellar line up at Hardwick Festival this weekend (Aug 21 and 22).
Newcastle-born singer songwriter Andrew Cushin has been added to the list of big name performers who will play on the first day of the event, held in the grounds of Hardwick Hall Hotel, Sedgefield, County Durham.
The singer has already won a legion of admirers for his music, notably from Noel Gallagher who produced and performed on his earlier single, Where’s My Family Gone.
His new song, Memories, follows from sessions with Grammy-winning producer Richard Woodcraft, who has also worked with Radiohead, Michael Kiwanuka and Paolo Nutini.
Andrew will now join Hardwick Festival on Saturday, as part of a packed two day programme which will see performances by Nile Rodgers and CHIC, Rag’n’Bone Man, Maximo Park, Razorlight, Imelda May and Embrace.
John Adamson of Hardwick Hall Hotel is delighted to have this late addition to the already packed programme.
“This year was already set to be the best Hardwick Festival and it’s fantastic to have Andrew now joining us,” he said.
“Not only is he an exciting performer but there’s the added bonus that he’s born and bred in the North East and it’s great to be able to give him the platform.”
The festival is all set to be a huge success, with all glamping and camping sites now fully sold out.
Other attractions include the return on club brand, Glitterbox with a number of big name DJs on Saturday, followed by To The Manor Born takes over the space on Sunday, with sets from Sandy Rivera, best known for his hit Finally with Kings of Tomorrow.
And music fans can also hear tracks from DJ and radio presenter Brandon Block, Alex P – who made his name in Ibiza in the late 80s.
The festival also has a full children’s programme, fairground rides, food outlets and numerous bars.
Tickets for this year’s Hardwick Festival are currently on sale at £55 for one day or £99 for both days plus booking fees. Concession tickets are available for children and 13 to 17-year-olds.
