Originals Newcastle, presented by adidas SPEZIAL

adidas announces Originals Newcastle, presented by adidas Spezial – an all-encompassing exhibition featuring products from the past and present, in partnership with END. The exhibition will open from Friday 27^th October and run until Sunday 5th November at the Newcastle Contemporary Art Gallery (39 High Bridge, Newcastle, NE1 1EW). 

The exhibition will feature a mixture of archival and contemporary footwear, including limited edition releases, signed personal pairs from the likes of Stormzy, Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher, Run DMC, Lily Allen, Ian Brown and more. In addition, there will be an exclusive preview of the forthcoming adidas SPEZIAL AW23 footwear collection, accompanied by a full display from the adidas SPEZIAL archive. In celebration of the exhibition, there will also be an accompanying series of bespoke events set to be announced. 

The announcement of Originals Newcastle, presented by adidas SPEZIAL comes after the latest adidas Originals campaign launch ‘We Gave The World An Original. You Gave Us A Thousand Back.’ It pays homage to those who have continued to transport its iconic signifier – the Trefoil – to the forefront of culture, over and over again. The campaign focuses on three timeless ‘characters’ from the three stripes archive – the Superstar, the Gazelle, and the Samba. 

The exhibition is free to attend and more information on the events program will follow.

The latest adidas Originals brand campaign is a collection of timeless stories; retold for tomorrow.
