Singer songwriter Andew Cushin to join Hardwick Festival line-up

SINGER SONGWRITER Andrew Cushin has been unveiled as the special guest at this year’s Hardwick Festival.

The announcement that the performer – who in the past year has appeared alongside everyone from the Libertines to Noel Gallagher – will take to the stage on Saturday 20 August has been warmly received by fans.

And it will be another chance to see one of the UK’s most exciting up-and-coming artists at the festival, following on from his previous appearance last year.

Andrew will join the stellar first day line up at Hardwick Hall, Sedgefield where fans will also be able to enjoy headliners The Stereophonics, as well as performances by Jake Bugg and American blues singer, Seasick Steve.

“It’s absolutely fantastic to have Andrew back at Hardwick Festival as his career has gone from strength to strength over the past year,” said John Adamson, of Hardwick Hall.

“He’s been named as one to watch and since he last appeared he’s has done amazingly well, including touring with Paul Weller twice.

“This is a great opportunity for people to see one of the most exciting new talents to emerge from the North East.”

Performers the following day (21 August) include two-tone pioneers, The Specials along with some of the UK’s top female performers, including Becky Hill who has a summer of high profile performances lined up,  including Love Island, the Women’s Euros and a residency in Ibiza.

Also on the Sunday line-up is BRIT winner,Ella Ayre, The Proclaimers and Oh My God! It’s The Church, a unique music/comedy blend of rock, funk and soul.

Other highlights include a world renowned DJ line up featuring names such as Danny Tenaglia, Purple Disco Machine, Robin S and David Penn.

Day tickets cost £69 for adults, £35 for young people aged 12 to 18 and £15 for children aged 5 to 12, with all under 18s to be accompanied by an adult over 25.
