Take a Triple A Food Tour

Having been brought up in London most of my life, and now living in Newcastle, I am keen to immerse myself into Newcastle Culture and its history. I’ve been coming to Newcastle for 20 years, yet I actually know very little about it.

I came across Triple A Food tours, which by all accounts fits the bill for more than one reason. A walking tour of Newcastle whilst being fed? Who’s going to turn that down?

Triple A Food Tours is based in the vivacious city of Newcastle, the hub of the North East! The name Triple A derives from business owner Amy Whitfield’s name, her son Archie & husband Andrew….(the three A’s) .

Working alongside some of the towns most precious eateries and restaurants, you will visits approximately 5-6 venues on a typical tour. Focusing on venues that are passionate about fresh, local and sustainable produce and above all are mad about great service! These include Six at The Baltic, La Casa at The Grainger Market, The Great British Cupcakery & Parlour, Lindsay Brothers at The Grainger Market, The Bridge Tavern, The French Quarter, Blackfriars Restaurant, Dobson & Parnell, Kaltur Highbridge Street and St Vincent.

Obviously, with Covid-19, everyone is having to adapt to a new way of normal. Both people and businesses. However, it’s great for everything to be opening up again. As long as we are sensible and adhere to the rules, we can still enjoy the beauty this city has to offer safely.

I haven’t yet been on this tour, so it’s my aim to get out of the house very soon and start to enjoy what this great city has. So for now, I thought I’d let you know about this too, it may just be your delicacy!

Triple A Food tours offer 3 tours ranging in price from £55pp to £160pp.

What you can expect

You will meet one of our fully trained tour guides at the meeting point (info found on your choice of tour). They will then escort you around to each eatery on foot. You will stop at 5-6 eateries, sampling a various dishes and beverages at each destination. Each destination offers a small but ample portion, but we promise you will be full and satisfied by the end of the food tour! Each tour takes approximately 3 hours, and because light walking is required, Triple A Food Tours do recommend that you wear sensible footwear and attire. Its worth mentioning that all food & drinks are included in the price for our tours!

  • Alcohol will be served at some of the eateries. A non alcohol substitute will be available.
  • Any customers that have any specific dietary requirements should contact us prior to booking.
  • Cancellations should be made at least 24 hours prior to your tour. After this time, we can not offer a refund.
  • In the event of weather conditions that we deem unsafe to walk in, Triple A Food Tours reserve the right to cancel/postpone a tour at any time (don’t worry, we travel in all weather conditions so it would need to be pretty terrible for us to cancel). In this instance, as much notice would be given as possible and all guests would be entitled to a full refund.
