Spotify and Sam Fender today announce that they are teaming up for something very special to celebrate the release of the highly-anticipated new album ‘Hypersonic Missiles’.

Spotify will host some of Sam’s most loyal local fans at a special, intimate gig which will take place in Tyneside on Friday 20th September. The show was first teased on 12th September 2019 in an ad that appeared in a local Tyneside paper, the Whitley Bay Guardian, and was later posted by Sam himself on Instagram here. The design, which hinted at the special Spotify event, was created by Sam’s regular artist collaborator Neal Fox.

Fender rapidly ascended last year, having toured the UK and Europe relentlessly, building himself a loyal, passionate army of fans. Sam writes honestly and candidly about subjects of social and generational significance, broadly drawn from his experiences growing up in Tyneside, Tyne & Wear. Having won the 2019 Brits critics’ choice award, Fender has cemented himself as undoubtedly one of the most exciting talents in the UK.
