Jolly japes and “Really? You Don’t Say!” stories from the Voice of Deep Purple

When you think that rich, unmistakable voice of Deep Purple’s Ian Gillan couldn’t possibly surprise you any more with his incredible tapestry of tales… he goes and does it again!

Did you know Ian’s “Eureka!” moment came after watching an Elvis Presley film at the cinema? Not one to hang around, he stopped a chap in the street and asked if he knew any guitarists. And, true to his word, a whole bunch of potential candidates soon found themselves turning up at Ian’s house for an audition!

And what about the time the younger, naughtier Purples caused havoc at Henley Regatta aboard the boat they’d hired, named The Gay Joker?

From candid, and quite honestly hilarious, stories to unforgettable tales about the extraordinary musicians Ian has worked with, The Talking Gib’rish Tour offers a unique glimpse through the rock ’n’ roll window of more than 60 years in the music industry.

Expect stories, surprises, laughter and plenty of rock ’n’ roll history along the way.

Come and hear the tales from the road…and the stories that never made it into the tour bus!
