THE North East’s biggest chain of leisure and entertainment hubs are today (22 October) getting into the festive spirit, with the launch of their New Year’s Eve events.
STACK Seaburn at Sunderland, St. James’ STACK, STACK Newcastle and STACK Middlesbrough are all gearing up to see in 2027, with a whole host of live music experiences where visitors can party into the early hours.
STACK Seaburn will be the venue for anyone who misses summer on one of the world’s top fun spots, with Ibiza in Symphony taking to the stage.
A ten piece live band will bring the biggest island hits to life, with songs like including Rhythm of the Night, Right Here Right Now, Show Me Love, Free, Pretty Green Eyes, Castles in the Sky, Better Off Alone and Freed From Desire on the performance list.
The evening will continue until the early hours with a set from DJ Mark Ireland, ensuring 2027 starts with a bang.
There’s a taste of Ibiza at St. James’ STACK too, with Ibiza Reborn transforming the venue into the party island, featuring all of the best-loved electronic dance music and also including a set from STACK’s resident DJ, Aaron Robson.
Music of a different kind will be the main feature of New Year’s Eve at STACK Newcastle, where popular Irish band, The Emerald Thieves will take visitors on a musical journey from the 60s to the 00s.
Popular Irish sing-alongs, country classics and indie-classics have ensured the band are a hit wherever they play and they’ll be bringing the party vibe to the Worswick Chambers STACK, along with DJ Playmoor.
A tribute to one of the greatest bands of all time will help party-goers say goodbye to 2026 at STACK Middlesbrough, where ABBA Fabulous will be taking to the stage.
A team of live singers will recreate some of the supergroup’s greatest hits, from Waterloo to Voulez Vous.
DJ Foster Grant will also be spinning all the classics from the 70s and 80s, ensuring it will be a night to remember.
Doors open at all the venues at 7pm.
“Our New Year’s Eve programmes across all of our sites have been designed to be nights to remember,” said Chels Morton, Marketing Manager at STACK for Sports and Events.
“We’ve got absolutely brilliant live entertainment and with all of our fantastic food vendors and bars, there’s nowhere better to be see in the new year.”
