Spotlight: The Purple Peacock Showbar
Recently I visited the Purple Peacock Show Bar to check out the show case night of the current shows ‘Knowing Me, Knowing You’ A Mamma Mia Experience and ‘Be Our Guest’ A Night at The Musicals shows. Now well performed it is about half way through the season for these shows ending approximately 22nd July, you now only have a limited time left to book onto these, with other events being announced all the time.
If you haven’t been before then I just have to tell you just how a good a night I had! This venue is unique to Newcastle and is a wonderful night out mixing great food, drink and entertainment together in one.
Performing and hosting was Matt Pagan, who I’ve been lucky enough to see as part of Collabro, as well as his theatre performances and we all know he has a fantastic voice but I loved the female lead for the night Ashleigh Bell whose voice was brilliant and she complimented Matt Brilliantly. These two brought the party atmosphere and had everyone singing along to our favourite songs! Along with the dancers who perform on stage, as well as an aerialist and fire eater you see a wonderful mix of performances through the night. Doubled up with great tasting food, I had a great night and met some great people while there too! Food and performances were timed well to ensure enough time to enjoy your food and drink was given also. Table service was available also which let you concentrate on just enjoying yourself.

Last orders for food are at 7:30 pm so make sure you arrive in time to sample our incredible selection of gourmet dishes crafted with the finest and freshest ingredients.
