  • This mile-long route will feature 15 new, large-scale installations, all choreographed to original, carefully curated soundtracks from creative partners including Mandy Lights and Ithaca Studios – the visionary teams behind the iconic installations Kew Gardens, Netflix and Glastonbury.
  • Tickets are now on sale via www.northernlightsnewcastle.com.

Since first launching in 2023, Northern Lights Newcastle has welcomed over 200,000 visitors and has cemented its place as one of the North East’s most loved winter traditions and seasonal events. Tickets for the 90-minute accessible experience go on sale at 10am today.

This year’s light trail is set to transform the familiar into the fantastical, promising returning guests to Leazes Park a brand-new experience and first-time visitors an unforgettable festive adventure through immersive lights, sounds and storytelling.

Visitors can expect even more magic with brand new illuminating displays, festive food and drink pit stops and dazzling surprises waiting around every corner of this extraordinary trail throughout November and December.

Roxy Robinson, Creative Director of From The Fields, said: “We’re so excited to be back in Newcastle for a third year and can’t wait for people to experience our new displays and see what surprises we have planned! Every year we challenge ourselves to push the creative boundaries and 2025 is no exception – we’ve completely reimagined the light trail! Newcastle has always welcomed us with so much enthusiasm, and has received five-star visitor reviews, major media attention and over 200,000 attendees since its launch. With such a high demand for tickets in previous years, selling out two seasons, we highly recommend booking early to avoid missing out.”

WHAT TO EXPECT AT NORTHERN LIGHTS NEWCASTLE?

Northern Lights Newcastle is produced by From The Fields, the award-winning team behind Bluedot, Kendal Calling, Christmas at Bute Park, Northern Lights Leeds and new for 2025, Northern Lights Manchester. By the end of this year, it’s anticipated that more than 1 million people will have experienced the trails across all four locations – Cardiff, Leeds, Newcastle and Manchester.

The Christmas Village will once again serve up mulled wine, hot chocolate, toasted marshmallows and street food from local favourites. Expect cosy fire pits, vintage fairground rides, and photo-worthy moments at every turn.
