The Witching Hour
Critically acclaimed ghost play, The Witching Hour, to visit Newcastle for a very limited run.
The national tour of James Williams’ critically acclaimed ghost play, The Witching Hour, is set to haunt the Tyne Theatre & Opera House on Friday 31 st May and Saturday 1st June 2024. From the creators of the sell-out ghost plays, The Wicked Lady and The Orphanage, comes their most terrifying tale yet. A curse can only be buried for so long and tempers boil over in this melting pot of witch trials and rumours.
The third instalment of James Willams’ horror series is set to send a shiver down audiences’ spines, and fans of his previous work will not want to miss out on this chilling tale. Are you brave enough to visit Torhill Wood?
The cast includes Jessica Porter (The Secret Garden, Treasure Island), Saul Bache (The Orphanage, The Wicked Lady) Mark Kitto (Macbeth, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe) and Eleanor May Blackburn (Bonnie and Clyde).
Inspired by the witch trials of the 17th century, The Witching Hour’s gothic tale is perfect for those who want to experience live horror. Previously playing at The Blue Orange Theatre in Birmingham to rave reviews, Newcastle are in for a scare this Spring.
Theatre Director Joanne Johnson states, “We’re excited that James Willams’ horror tale is coming to our theatre, following previous performances of The Wicked Lady last year. We’re always adding diversity into our events line-up, and horror fans are sure to love this electrifying production.”
