Chopstix’s newest store opened in Trinity Square, marking the launch with a huge event featuring discounts, entertainment and prizes
CHOPSTIX, the UK’s favourite noodle bar, has opened in Trinity Square, Gateshead, and celebrated with a huge launch party complete with a DJ, discounts and prizes.
The opening on Thursday 20th August saw huge queues throughout the day, with fans waiting in line for the 99p noodle boxes and the chance to be one of the first to see the new restaurant.
Open 10:30am to 10pm the new store brings over 20 new jobs to the city and seats 90 eager diners.
Chopstix has quickly become one of the UK’s most popular quick service restaurants, with its focus on Asian flavour in a quick and accessible way making it a firm favourite throughout the country.
As well as takeaway classics like Sweet & Sour Chicken and Salt ‘N’ Pepper Chicken, Chopstix has a range of fresh flavours and brand favourites including Chicken Katsu Curry and the restaurant’s signature Caramel Drizzle Chicken.
Fans will also be able to order for delivery or takeaway from the new store to satisfy any cravings they have at home.

The new stores and refurbishments this year, build on a strong 2025 that saw 17 new store openings and refurbishments across the UK, including Leeds, Huddersfield and Hull, as well as the launch of the new Chopstix 3.0 concept in Bridgend.
The noodle bar’s popular dishes are also available to order through Chopstix Delivery and Click & Collect via the website or Chopstix app, as well as from delivery platforms including UberEats, Deliveroo and Just Eat.
The Chopstix store will be located at Unit G121–122, 4-8 Ellison Walk, Gateshead NE8 1BF.
