TWO YOUNG performers are returning home after graduating from professional musical theatre schools and will make their debut at a special day marking the scariest time of year.
Jess Shord (21) and Aimee Rowan (22) are both from Newcastle and have been lead cast members at events company, Let’s Party Events for the past 5 years, before heading out to study musical theatre professionally.
And now the pair are returning to the North East and will be showcasing their professional skills at Kidzville, a one day Halloween event which will take place at Lintz Hall Farm, Burnopfield.
Lintz Hall Farm has become the go-to venue every autumn, as the home of the award-winning scare park Psycho Path and its family-friendly version – Family Fright Fest.
Every year organisers add in more new elements and this time round they have teamed up with Let’s Party Events to create a day packed with five original stage shows, roaming entertainers, creative stations, face painting and fairground rides, along with a wide selection of street food.
A huge variety of top food offerings will be available this time round – covering everything from Greek favourites Acropolis to Truly Madly Pizza, Hatch 76 duck wraps, Twisted Chick and Diamond Dogs.
Families will also be able to tuck into Crumbling Puddings, Ronnie’s Fish and Chips, burger experts 40 Ounce, barbeque specialists Primal Feast and viral food sensation, Bag Head.
Kidzville will take place from 11am until 4pm on Thursday 29 October and will offer the perfect solution for families needing to entertain their children over the half term break in one place. Providing entertainment and activities for attendees of all ages.
For the two young performers, it will also give them the opportunity to showcase their professional skills.
“I’ve always loved entertaining and bringing joy to others, it’s my passion, “said Jess.
“After professionally training in Musical Theatre at Bird Conservatoire in London, I recently graduated with a First-Class Honours degree, and I’m so excited to put my experience and passion into Kidzville.”
Aimee recently graduated from Performers College Essex with a degree in Musical Theatre and Dance and said she was also “excited about performing at Kidzville.”
“I’m really looking forward to putting everything I’ve learnt during my training into doing what I love most – performing.
“I’m so excited to see Kidzville come to life after months of planning behind the scenes and can’t wait to get stuck in, meet everyone and be part of what’s set to be such a brilliant event.”
Young people will all receive an LED glow stick and will get the opportunity to have meet and greets with a range of characters, get access to the Creative Cove activity zone along with the Cosy Cauldron Lair.
Attendees are also encouraged to turn up in fancy dress – with prizes on offer for the best ones.
Nigel Holliday, one of the co-directors of Psycho Path and Family Fright Fest said Kidzville would be a day not to be missed.
“We know how brilliant Let’s Party Events are at what they do and they have created five unique shows for the day that can’t be seen anywhere else,” he said.
