THE POPULARITY of one of the North East’s biggest and best bonfire events has sparked another date added to the calendar.

Every year the Big Blaze held at Burnopfield’s Lintz Hall Farm – which is also the site of award-winning scream park Psycho Path and the north’s biggest family Halloween experience, Family Fright Fest- ensures that Bonfire Night goes with a bang.

The team behind the event have engaged top fireworks company, Reaction Fireworks, who are behind Newcastle’s spectacular New Year’s Eve displays to light up the skies at the event.

And because they believe that will make the Big Blaze – which sells out every year – even more popular than ever, they have now added another date for Saturday 7 November.

Tickets are now on sale for both Thursday 5 November and the new date, with tickets starting from as little as £8 each.

Both events run from 4pm until 11pm, with visitors able to enjoy all of the attractions on site which include indoor family stage shows, fairground rides, photo booth and dedicated Instagram photo areas.

Street food ranging from Greek favourites to pizza to burgers to doughnuts will also be available, along with a range of bars.

The food line-up this time round also includes puddings specialists, Crumbling UK for the first time, who will be joining 40 Oz Burgers, Acropolis and Dough Vine Desserts and Churros to feed hungry guests.

The highlight of the event is the lighting of the huge bonfire, which will be followed by an exciting fire and angle griding show from award-winning fire performers, La Flamo.

“We’ve really turned up the heat this year and added another date to make sure everyone has the opportunity to come along,” said Christiano Crawford, one of the co-directors of the event.

“We know how popular Big Blaze is for families to mark Bonfire Night in real style and we can’t wait for them to come along and enjoy all of the attractions and entertainment we have this time round.”
