‘Don’t look back in Angus’ Hard Rock Cafe Newcastle reveals hilariously named menu for first ‘Bottomless Britpop Brunch’

90 minutes of bottomless drinks, themed menus, live music  and DJ sets

The Don’t Look Back in Angus Burger”‘Bez’s Bahama Mama’ and ‘The Burgess Bellini’, these are just some of the 90s themed treats that will be on display at Hard Rock Cafe Newcastle next weekend as it welcomes its first ever ‘Bottomless Britpop Brunch.’ 

Taking place at 4pm, right after Newcastle United’s crunch home match against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday 23rd April, music nuts are in for an afternoon to remember with the much-loved venue going all out for the indie takeover, which will also featuring live music from the UK’s number one Britpop band, The National Anthems.

Fusing its world famous legendary burgers and cocktails with a Britpop style that even the Gallagher’s themselves would be proud of, the full menu has now been revealed, especially curated and named by The National Anthems.

Starting with the all important drinks, guests will be able to ‘Get their Rocks off” with ‘BEZ’S BAHAMA MAMA’, a cocktail made with bacardi superior Rum, Malibu coconut rum, banana liqueur, the fresh flavours of orange and pineapple finished with a splash of grenadine. 

Next up, Hard Rock will offer the Supergrass inspired ‘CAUGHT BY THE FIZZ’, combining Prosecco, Chambord Raspberry Liqueur and blackberry Liqueur. 

“Just when you’re thinkin’ things over”, why not enjoy ‘THE BURGESS BELLINI’– a Prosecco with White peach purée finished with peach schnapps.

And for those hardcore Britpop fans, Hard Rock will also be serving ‘THE STAND BY ME, LONG ISLAND TEA’, a hearty cocktail mixed with vodka gin, triple sec, and rum.

The BBQ Pulled Pulp Pork Sandwich 

Burgers include the ‘THE ORIGINAL LEGENDARY® MASTERPLAN BURGER’ – a premium steak burger, with smoked bacon, Cheddar cheese, crispy onion ring, leaf lettuce and vine-ripened tomato, served with Hard Rock’s signature steak sauce on the side, ‘THE DON’T LOOK BACK IN ANGUS CHEESEBURGER’ – with three slices of Cheddar cheese melted on our premium steak burger and the THE ‘MOVING ON UP’ MOUNTAINS BURGER – a 100% plant-based patty, topped with Cheddar cheese and a crispy onion ring. 

Meanwhile, Britpop fans will also be able to feast on the ‘BBQ PULP PORK SANDWICH’, a hand-pulled smoked pork with a house-made barbecue sauce, the ‘TENDER IS THE CHICKEN GRILLED SANDWICH’, the BITTERSWEET SYMPH-NON-CARNE’, and the CRISPI-AN MILLS FRIED CHICKEN SANDWICH – a crispy buttermilk-marinated chicken breast with leaf lettuce, vine-ripened tomato and ranch dressing, served on a toasted fresh brioche bun.

Meanwhile mac and cheese enthusiasts will be able to shake their maracas to the ‘YOU’RE TWISTING MY MAC, CHICKEN & CHEESE, MAN!!’ and for those that want a lighter option, they shan’t be disappointed with the ‘GRILLED CHICKEN CAESAR SAL-SUEDE.’ 

The Britpop Bottomless Brunch experience includes table appetisers on arrival, a main course served up by Hard Rock Cafe’s talented chefs and a full hour and a half of bottomless drinks, including a range of beers, ciders, wine and prosecco.

Tickets for the Bottomless Britpop Brunch at Hard Rock Cafe Newcastle are on sale now and priced at £40 per person. Tables for 1, 2, 4 and 6 people are available to buy from the Hard Rock Cafe Newcastle website. The event starts at 4pm on Sunday 23 April.
