Lindisfarne Festival Rescheduled
In light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, it’s with regret and a heavy heart that organisers of the popular Lindisfarne Festival, have made the difficult decision to postpone the 2020 event to next year from Sep 2nd-5 th2021.
The three- day music and arts extravaganza, which was due to take place for the sixth consecutive year from 3rd -6th September had plans to welcome over 5,000 festival goers to Beal Farm in Northumberland. Headline acts including Groove Armada, Craig Charles Funk and Soul Club were scheduled to play alongside a diverse line up of 200+ musicians, comedians and performing artists over its 10 unique stages.
Conleth Maenpaa, founder of Lindisfarne Festival commented:
“Our team have worked so incredibly hard over the last year to bring the best festival possible back to Northumberland. We tried and hoped, but sadly like so many other events in a similar position to us, this sadly wasn’t meant to be. Nobody could have anticipated the impact Covid-19 would have had across the culture and events sector, but the safety of our festivalgoers, performers and staff remain our utmost priority during this time.
That said, we are hopeful to bring back the music, magic and mayhem in 2021 and are happy to confirm that Groove Armada, Alabama 3, Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club alongside many of our current line -up will be joining us next year. And in time, we will be adding even more amazing acts, stages and performers to our line up so that we can ensure 2021 will be our greatest ever festival.
All 2020 tickets will automatically be transferred over to 2021, including all car parking and campervan passes. Options will be available for those requesting refunds, but we do urge people, where they can, to support and protect the future of Lindisfarne Festival at this difficult time by holding onto their tickets.
Lastly, we would like to thank everyone who has supported the festival over the years for their continued support, patience and understanding. We have become such a great community – a force for good – and we are immensely proud of what we have achieved. We promise we will do everything we can to make up for lost time and to give everyone the most incredible, feel-good festival experience they deserve next year. We’ll all be ready for it, that’s for sure! Until we meet again, stay safe and continue to look after one another.”
More information on tickets will be available on the FAQs page of the Lindisfarne Festival website.
