MOJO OFFICIALLY OPENS IN NEWCASTLE

NEW BAR BOASTS OVER 120 DIFFERENT COCKTAILS, AN AMERICAN FOOD MENU AND A SELECTION OF GAMES INCLUDING BEER PONG AND SHUFFLEBOARD

Good Friday saw the opening of Newcastle’s newest cocktail bar and all-day hang out, MOJO. Located at The Gate on Newgate Street, the new bar is now welcoming guests through its doors for an electric going out experience that combines delicious cocktails with home-made, classic American food and the best music from the last five decades.

The bar’s opening party was one of MOJO’s largest to date and saw over 600 people enjoying great tunes and good times at the new venue. Also unveiled at the party was an original piece of artwork from Newcastle street artist and graphic designer Mul Draws.

Boasting a bar that stretches the length of the ground floor, Newcastle’s newest venue serves an extensive cocktail list of over 120 different serves, from classics to new MOJO creations. Also on offer is a raft of experiences, from shuffleboard tables to beer pong and cocktail masterclasses hosted by MOJO’s all-star mixologist team.

The food menu spans from small bites like chicken wings and fully loaded fries to larger dishes like MOJO’s Dirty Smash Burgers, hand-stretched pizzas, and sweet treats such as waffles and pancakes. Vegan options are available throughout and Bottomless Brunch will also be served throughout the week.

MOJO Managing Director Martin Greenhow said: “We had a fantastic time celebrating the opening of our newest bar in Newcastle. It was exciting to see such a great turn out for the party and it gave us a chance to showcase all the hard work that the team has put in over the last few months, from the design of the bar itself, to the new cocktails and dishes. We can’t wait to welcome more people down to the new bar and continue spreading our ethos of bringing music for the people, food for the soul and good times forever.”
