NIGHT MARKET WILL BRING THE SEASONAL FUN TO STACK NEWCASTLE

A UNIQUE Christmas event will give Tyneside shoppers the opportunity to get into the festive spirit โ€“ and enjoy a great night out at the same time.

STACK Newcastle is hosting a seasonal night market for the first time, bringing together more than 60 unique sellers offering a range of special goods.

The Night Market UK is known for hosting spectacular evenings around the country and has returned to STACK Newcastle after a successful event earlier in the year.

This time round thereโ€™ll be the opportunity to buy from vintage sellers, specialised crafters and independent traders from the across the region.

The event runs from 5.30pm to 10.30pm on Thursday 19 November โ€“ the same night as Newcastleโ€™s Christmas lights switch on โ€“ so is a great opportunity to have a special night out in town.

Anyone wanting to attend can book an arrival time slot, with tickets just ยฃ3.50 each (plus a booking fee) if bought in advance, although tickets can also be purchased on the night, subject to availability and cost ยฃ4 each.

Along with the opportunity to shop, there will be a live DJ playing throughout the night

The Night Market UK has commissioned artist/technologist Ross Blair (www.trenchone.com)  to create an installation celebrating Newcastle, which will be played on STACKโ€™s giant screens throughout the night.

All of STACK Newcastleโ€™s food and drink outlets will be open โ€“ giving people the opportunity to enjoy everything from spuds with a difference from The Flaming Tattie, Sri Lankan street food at Dinithi, Greek specials at Acropolis and Dylanโ€™s Philly Cheese Steaks.

All of the venueโ€™s long-standing favourites will also be open, including Bao Down, Brack Burgers, Zza Pizzeria and Pattersons fried chicken.

Tickets for the night market are now available at https://events.humanitix.com/the-night-market-uk-stack-newcastle-christmas-special/tickets

Chels Morton, marketing manager at STACK for sport and events, said the market was a great opportunity to snap up some Christmas bargains.

โ€œFor anyone looking for gifts that are really different, then this is definitely something they wonโ€™t want to miss,โ€ she said.

โ€œThereโ€™ll be dozens of artisan creators bringing an exciting range of items, covering everything from jewellery to candles, from handmade cards to vintage clothing.

โ€œItโ€™s also a great way to support some really exciting independent businesses and find things that youโ€™re unlikely to find anywhere else.โ€
