Psychopath 2023

Psychopath 2023

This weekend Psycho Path opens to the public. Yes October is upon us and that means Halloween.

Psycho path has quickly emerged as the biggest and best scare attraction in the North East. I remember the first where we were put into the back of a van and taken to a field. Now it’s scaled to an unbelievable size and is a theme park esque experience.

This year is the scariest yet with the addition of  Cuththroat Island and the Thunderdome. Along with classics such as Isolation, IScream, Psychocity & Cornered.

A huge amount of credit has to go to the organisers and team behind this. The level of detail that goes into it is immense. From costumes, variety of experiences, props and set design to the actors that take part. Nothing is left to chance and it is because of this that the event has become so popular!

The queue was longest for this new addition Cutthroat Island and after going through it I can see why. I felt this new addition was the best of the lot. Will you join the motley crew of people and walk the plank if you dare to work your way through this ship?

Cornered is just that, a corn maze of which you are self guided on a pre set route with no way out. Set in the open air, walking through the dark. Just like everywhere else on this site, you never know what to expect to pop out of the huge rows of corn.

Iscream is also a favourite of mine. Situated just past the entrance this is a tardis of an experience. It looks small but it’ll take a while to find your way out of this enclosed space of tunnels.

Psychocity takes you through an urban filled futuristic wasteland. You will have you dodge the riot police that are there to take you.

If you are daring enough to enter by yourself Isolation could be for you. Five doors, five different experiences. The catch, you have to leave your mates and go in by yourself!

Thunderdome sadly wasn’t quite ready on this preview night but have been told on good authority it’s a real immersive experience not to be missed.

See below the scare rating for the experiences:

Live entertainment has been scheduled throughout the season and you’ll be amazed at the talent on display.

There are some of your favourite food vendors available to keep you full and bars with a selection of drinks which you’ll definitely be using for some Dutch courage.

Even if you have been before, expect the unexpected as the attractions will have you running through them!

We had a blast at the preview night and will certainly be heading back if we dare too!
