Royal Bottomless Brunch Review at Chaophraya Newcastle

Royal Bottomless Brunch Review at Chaophraya Newcastle

We were recently invited to Chaophraya for a Royal Bottomless Brunch which afterwards my wife described it as the best food on a bottomless brunch she’s had, and I have to agree.

Chaophraya is known for its great quality food and now it extends into the bottomless brunch menu as a natural extension for really enjoyable weekends. Admittedly it is one of the more expensive bottomless brunches but what you get is well worth it. You can choose from 1 course £45 or two courses for £49.

We chose the two course and you have a choice of two starter sharers. The first being their classic starter selection, self titled CHAOPHRAYA which included Thai chicken tacos, chicken satay, chicken spring rolls, tempura prawns and spicy duck salad or for the vegetarians the second option of  TED SAKARN JAY consisting of Sweetcorn cakes, vegetable spring rolls, tempura vegetables, Thai vegetable tacos and summer rolls.

We chose the Chaophraya sharing platter which was just lush and tasted as fresh as anything. I really enjoyed the chicken satay and tempura prawns but the Thai chicken tacos came out as my favourites.

For main I chose the green thai curry which had the perfect level of taste and kick (the server kindly reminded me that it was a hot dish awaiting confirmation that I did indeed want it) and my wife went for the chicken pad prik thai dum which came out as a fantastic portion with plenty of chicken and again great taste.

It is a 90 minute brunch but your booking is typically 1hr 45 when reserved, so we are told the time starts from when you order your first drink. You can choose from 6 different alcholic options from prosecco, beer and cocktails. While the cocktail selection may be limited they are still of the high quality options served day to day, containing fresh ingredients to the freshest of tastes. Soft Drinks are also available.

With a DJ  in the background providing the chilled tunes in the background the surroundings and atmosphere just make it a perfect location to enjoy a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

I genuinely love the atmosphere at Chaophraya, the service is always attentive, the food top quality. It’s even better when the suns out and you get to enjoy the terrace, but even if you’re inside, you then get great views from inside. Although on the pricier side I would definitely be back to have this Royal Bottomless Brunch again.
