Chopstix, the UK’s favourite noodle bar, has announced a nationwide search for the UK’s loudest noodle slurper, with £500 worth of Chopstix Flave Points and a limited edition medal up for grabs.

Widely considered a taboo habit, Chopstix is encouraging loud eating on the 6th of October as part of its National Noodle Day celebrations.

Hosted outside one of Chopstix’s newest restaurants, the competition will take place on the 6th of October from 11am – 3pm at Gateshead Trinity, Newcastle, where contestants will have the chance to showcase their slurping skills.

Entrants will have 20 seconds to make their slurp count, with their slurp measured through a decibel meter. The loudest will take the title of Chopstix’s ‘Slurper of The Year’ alongside taking home £500 worth of Flave Points to redeem in Chopstix restaurants and a bespoke medal.

Alongside the competition, Chopstix is continuing to celebrate all things noodles with a limited offer of 99p noodles nationwide, available in participating stores from 11am until close.

Fans will need to act quick, as the offer is only available for one day only on the 6th of October.

To enter the competition, those wanting to sign up must enter their details to the official Slurper of the Year page here.
