STAR-STUDDED HOLLYWOOD TALES, IMPROV AND STAND UP COMEDY WITH CAROLINE RHEA
January 2024 – Aunt Hilda herself is headed to the UK this spring as Canadian actress and renowned stand-up comedian Caroline Rhea tours her aptly named show ‘I Identify As A Witch’, stopping off in Newcastle this March. Following a very limited run at Edinburgh Fringe 2023 the hilarious show is filled with comedy, improv and star-studded Hollywood tales.
Beloved for hit roles in the likes of Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Phineas and Ferb, Caroline Rhea will head to Newcastle, Glasgow, Edinburgh and more in between from 16th – 24th March 2024.
Caroline Rhea said, “I’m thrilled to return to the UK, my part-time childhood home. I’ve been a standup comedian for 34 years and I’m coming to do my new show, “I Identify as a Witch” because at this point I seriously do, so does my 14 year old daughter. My new show covers everything from parenting a teenager to dating (it’s super fun at this age), outrageous stories of life in Hollywood like when I met Taylor Swift, and a lot of improv.”
Saturday 16 March 2024 – Giffnock, Eastwood Park Theatre
Sunday 17 March 2024 – Greenock, Beacon Arts Centre
Wednesday 20 March 2024 – Aberdeen, The Tivoli Theatre
Thursday 21 March 2024 – Edinburgh, Monkey Barrel
Friday 22 March 2024 – Glasgow, Oran Mor
Saturday 24 March 2024 – Newcastle, The Stand Comedy Club
The stand-up hour will cover Caroline’s life in the spotlight, meaning it’s an unmissable show for fans of 90s cult classic Sabrina the Teenage Witch where she made her name as Aunt Hilda for seven years, or as Linda Flynn Fletcher on Phineas and Ferb for over 10 seasons. Marking 30 years as a comic, the Hollywood star has numerous comedy specials on the likes of HBO, Comedy Central and Showtime plus appearances on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and Conan O’Brien. Fans of Aunt Hilda were also delighted when Caroline reprised the beloved role on the Netflix hit show The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina in 2020.
‘I Identify As A Witch’ was a major hit in the USA, before touring globally with stops in Australia and at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, before returning for a limited UK tour this spring. The show will regale audiences with tales of years on Hollywood sets, making it as a serious club comic, dating and plenty of audience interaction from the charismatic comedian.
The tour is presented by Gilded Balloon, one of Scotland’s leading entertainment producers.
