Waiting in the Wings With West End Stars: A Musical Journey Preview

Waiting in the Wings is back bigger and better than ever. Tyne Audio started the Waiting in the Wings series of concerts at the height of the global pandemic to provide some entertainment respite to all the dark theatres during the many lockdowns. It returned as a socially distanced concert and now with a live band, a stunning choir of local talent and a fully open theatre this latest instalment promises to be the best yet.
Four established West End performers Jenna Boyd, Jacqueline Hughes, Kris Manuel, and Joseph Claus will take to the stage to take you on wings of songs through a dazzling array of musicals under the directorship of Mark Hedges and Kirsten Spitty, and the musical direction of Amy Mellor.
There is really something for everyone in the line up including songs from Les Misérables, Little Shop of Horrors, Sunday in the Park with George, and School of Rock. I have seen all of the Waiting in the Wings series and there is always something very special in store with their programme including some incredibly innovative medleys, wonderful harmonies and even some cleverly worked mashups so I cannot wait to see what the team has in store for us at the glorious Tyne Theatre and Opera House this time.
