What’s on at Utilita Arena this April/May 2023
There are a lot of events happening at the Utilita Arena this April and May from dancing and singing to Tattoos and Basketball.
On April 21, the Matt Goss Experience will take place. Matt Goss will be joined by the MG Big Band and the Royal Philharmonic, playing some of his biggest hits, new original music, and a tribute to Cole Porter.
The next day, on April 22, Olly Murs will perform. He has recently signed with EMI Records and will be releasing his first new studio album in over four years. Special guests Scouting for Girls will join him on tour. Olly Murs’ Marry Me tour will be his first in over four years, and is in support of his new album of the same name. The album features collaborations with artists such as Nile Rodgers, Anne-Marie, and Ella Eyre. Fans can expect to hear new tracks as well as old favorites like “Troublemaker” and “Dance With Me Tonight.”
From April 29-30, the Big North Tattoo Show will take place. The show will feature almost 300 of the best international, national, and local tattoo artists, as well as entertainment, competitions, market stalls, food, and bars.
On May 1-2, Michael Bublé will visit the arena for his ‘Higher’ tour. He will be performing his most loved hits and greatest tracks from his phenomenal career alongside songs from his No.1 album ‘Higher’ released earlier this year.
On May 3, the Harlem Globetrotters World Tour 2023 will stop at the arena. The game will feature your favorite Globetrotter stars as they bring out their amazing basketball skill and outrageous athleticism for a non-stop LOL good time.
May 4, Strictly Come Dancing: The Professionals will perform. This show will feature a spectacular line-up of ten of the world’s best professional dancers, showcasing their exceptional talent.

After a little break in events Celebrated and award-winning blues rock guitarist and singer songwriter, Joe Bonamassa in will be heading to Utilita Arena Newcastle on Saturday 13 May, as part of his UK wide 2023 tour.
Ending the month on 28th and 29th May 2023. The Comic Con event at Utilita Arena Newcastle will feature appearances from a variety of celebrities, including actors, comic book artists, and writers. Fans can expect to meet and take photos with stars from popular TV shows and movies, as well as attend panels and Q&A sessions with creators and industry insiders. There will also be exhibitor booths selling merchandise, comics, and collectibles, as well as cosplay contests and other interactive activities
