A SPECIAL event to celebrate the scariest time of year will ensure that parents aren’t terrified by the cost.
Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa near Durham has unveiled a new Halloween event aimed at youngsters, with a pocket-friendly cost for adults to attend.
The Children’s Halloween Disco Party will run on Saturday October 31 from 2pm to 4pm, with a packed programme of spooktacular entertainment.
Young people can enjoy party games, dancing, a fancy dress competition – with prizes and lots of food, for just £17.95p a child.
And to keep the prices down, the hotel is allowing adults to come along with their children at just £5 a ticket – which does not include food.
Claire Stephen, Events Manager at the award-winning hotel, said the idea was to maximise on fun and minimise on costs.
“Halloween can be expensive, with many events charging the same price for adults and children which can really make it too costly for a long of families,” she said.
“That’s why we’ve made the decision to just add a nominal cost for adults so they can still come along and watch their youngster having lots of fun without it breaking the bank.”

The popular hotel has also created a whole range of seasonal events beginning in November, which also included family friendly activities such as Santa Comes to Lunch on 6 December.
Along with a two course lunch, guests can enjoy face painting, balloon modelling, a disco and a face-to-face meeting with Father Christmas in his grotto where they will receive a gift.
