LAZY BEAR WINTER TIPI MAKES A WELCOME CITY CENTRE RETURN THIS SEASON

GUINNESS, TAYTOS, AND FESTIVE IRISH CHEER COMES TO CENTRAL STATION

Newcastle’s favourite winter tipi bar opens earlier than ever before, with live music every night and an Irish-inspired twist

Lazy Bear, Newcastle’s favourite festive pop-up, is officially out of hibernation and will make its return for a fourth consecutive year outside of Central Station in the city centre.

The tipi bar, which has become a go-to destination for festive nights out since its launch, will reopen earlier than ever on Friday 10th October and will continue spreading cheer right through until 31st December

Over the past three years, Lazy Bear has successfully offered a cosy haven in the heart of the city and is back this year with an Irish theme.

What started as a pop-up has quickly become a fixture of the festive season, with thousands flocking each year to soak up its warm atmosphere, crackling fire pits, and live entertainment.

In 2025, the much-loved venue is back with everything guests know and love, plus a brand-new flavour: a touch of Ireland. From pints of Guinness and baby Guinness shots to iconic Irish snacks like Taytos, the festive tipi will offer plenty of new reasons to raise a glass.

Every night, guests can enjoy live performances from Newcastle’s finest local talent, whether it’s winding down with an acoustic set after work or letting loose to lively singalongs on the weekend.

The drinks menu, once again carefully curated to warm winter nights, will feature all the favourites: beer on tap, steaming mulled wine, indulgent hot chocolates, and more.

Whether it’s a festive shopping pit-stop, a cosy catch-up with friends, or a night out that runs into the early hours, Lazy Bear promises to be the perfect backdrop for seasonal celebrations.

Lazy Bear’s Venue Manager, said: “Lazy Bear has become something really special to Newcastle, and we couldn’t be happier to bring it back for its fourth year. Every year we try to add something new for our guests – and this year, we’re bringing Ireland to Tyneside!”

‘’We’ve created a space where people can gather, celebrate, and make lasting memories. It’s cosy, it’s festive, and it’s a place we’re proud to call Newcastle’s winter tradition.”

Open daily from 12 noon till 12am Monday to FridaySaturdays from 11am to 1am and Sundays from 11am to 11pm, the tipi bar will once again be a hub for festive gatherings of every kind. Lazy Bear has also become a firm favourite for football fans, providing the perfect pre- and post-match meeting spot thanks to its unbeatable Central Station location and lively atmosphere.
