ENJOY BEER, BRATWURST AND BLACK FOREST GATEAU AT HARDWICK HALL’S OKTOBERFEST

ONE of the North East’s most popular hotels is asking people to get out their lederhosen – and embrace the spirit of one of the world’s iconic events.

Oktoberfest is an internationally renowned celebration of German food, drink and music and draws thousands of people every year.

And now Hardwick Hall Hotel near Sedgefield is ensuring that people don’t have to travel to Europe to embrace this epic event – but can enjoy it closer to home.

On Saturday 10 October the hotel is staging its own Oktoberfest celebration, complete with Oompah band, beer steins drinking game and even a yodelling competition.

While fancy dress is not mandatory, there are special prizes on offer for those who decide to dress up and help bring the whole experience to life.

The evening runs from 7pm until 12.30am, with guests seated at traditional long tables where they can tuck into a tasty two course menu comprising bratwurst, onions and sauerkraut and followed up with Schwarzwalder Kirschtorte – the famous Black Forest Gateau.

Tickets are just £29.95 per person and Helen Attley, Sales and Events Manager at Hardwick Hall, believes it will be a spectacular evening.

“The hotel is renowned for its amazing themed events which are well attended year after year,” she said.

“Oktoberfest is no different – a night packed with superb entertainment which will really bring the spirit of this world famous event to Hardwick.”
