Black Sheep Coffee, the innovative café chain that built its name on being the first to serve speciality-grade Robusta coffee as its house bean, is now open at Metrocentre – part of the brand’s ongoing expansion into key regions throughout the UK.

The new large-format store, which seats 80 customers, offers coffee enthusiasts and newcomers alike the choice of soaking up the relaxed vibe indoors or out on the concourse for an al fresco feel, along with the option to order-and-go for busy shoppers.
On the menu are Black Sheep Coffee’s core range of house brews and espresso, including its exceptionally smooth, high-caffeine Robusta coffee, as well as ceremonial-grade matcha, refreshing smoothies and iced drinks, alongside other hot and cold drinks.

For those feeling a little bit peckish, the new store will also be serving firm favourite Norwegian waffles with an array of indulgent toppings, as well as fresh pastries, cakes and, for bigger appetites, all-day breakfasts (vegetarian-friendly options included).
Ben Cox, Director at Sovereign Centros from CBRE, Asset Managers of Metrocentre, said: “Introducing new brands and further strengthening our offer has been key to growing footfall, increasing dwell-time and driving up sales.
“Bringing popular names like Black Sheep Coffee to Metrocentre is an important part of this strategy, ensuring we continually evolve the customer experience, and we’re pleased to welcome the team to Upper Red Mall.”
Gabriel Shohet and Eirick Holth, Co-Founders of Black Sheep Coffee said: “Opening at Metrocentre is another exciting step for Black Sheep Coffee as we continue to bring our take on coffee to more communities across the UK.

“From the very beginning, we’ve wanted to challenge what people expect from a coffee shop and create places that feel energetic, different and worth coming back to. Metrocentre is a brilliant fit for that, and we’re looking forward to welcoming shoppers, families and the local community to experience Black Sheep for themselves.”
Adding to the options available in-store, customers can place their order by self-service screen or in person at the counter. There’s also the opportunity to buy Black Sheep Coffee’s popular blends as bags of whole bean or ground coffee to enjoy at home.
